Jose Mourinho has a bone to pick with Roman and gang. After his unceremonious exit, he would like nothing better than to eliminate his former wards from the competition they are so desperate to win.
But he sure will be in for a reality check.
Inter as a team is nothing. Sneijder has given them another option creating more than their usual pass-to-Ibra-and-wait-for-him-to-do-something tactic, but they are a shade lesser than Chelsea. Man to man drogba is better than eto'o. Lampard is better than sneijder, Terry is better than Lucio and Cech is way better than whoever is going to replace Cesar.
Set-pieces? No problemo. Inter is "short" of tall beefy fellows who can impose themselves in the air.
The problem or rather quandary for CT would be the Left back position. Ashley Cole and Yuri Zhirkov are injured, Paulo ferreira is not included in the UCL team application, van Aanholt is on loan at Newcastle and Belletti is just back after a one month lay-off.
I dont see anything that Terry-Carvalho cannot handle though. Eto'o has been more than a handful on a few occasions against Chelsea but the old JT RC duo are back. I
cant see how the Pandevs and Militos can be damaging.
It all comes down to the Mourinho factor. He is too smart. He has won the UEFA and UCL with a side (Porto) which albeit was talented was mediocre at best.
However it develops, its going to be the highlight of this round.
